This is related to the “We are the world?” post, so read that one first. Like I touched on in that post, Globaslism began at the tower of Babel. Under the leadership of Nimrod, the people gathered together to unite as “one world” politically and spirtitually. This was done in direct defiance and prideful rebellion against God.
The same thing is happening today. The attitude with this worldview rejects God and says, “The earth is our world, we will unite politically and spiritually, we will create world peace, and we will rule the world ourselves!”
Though men of the world seek this goal, it is a fatally flawed goal, because just like at the tower of Babel, God will come down and put an end to this evil plan. He will show the world that, as it’s God, Creator and King, it is He who owns and rules the world. The Bible says that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming again in power and glory and will judge the world in righteousness.
“But the present heavens and earth by His word are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.” 1 Peter 3:7.
